Uva Wine Bar Launches New Mobile App For iPhone Users
PLYMOUTH, MA (March 11, 2020) – Uva Wine Bar, New England’s first and only self-serve wine bar, located in America’s Hometown of Plymouth, Mass. has created a mobile app that customers can use to enhance their experience at Uva Wine Bar. When customers download the Uva app, they can access Uva’s extensive list of wine offerings, provide star ratings for the wines (and see other average ratings), create a personalized Favorites list of wines, and make weekday reservations at Uva.
“South Shore residents have embraced the self-serve technology at Uva Wine Bar and we’re so excited to take that technology offering to the next level,” said Katy Gaenicke, co-owner of Uva Wine Bar. “We often are asked if we have a current wine list, but our wine offerings are constantly changing. With our new mobile app, customers will now be able to see what is currently in the self-serve WineStations at Uva, in real time. They will also get to see what others think of each wine and create a list of their favorite Uva wines so they don’t have to take pictures of the labels, or try to remember what they liked.”
The Uva Wine Bar mobile app can be downloaded for free at the Apple Store. Uva’s wine lovers will enjoy these primary features within the mobile app:
- Wine List – Uva features 48 wines in the self-serve WineStations as well as Prosecco and Sangria behind the bar. The wines are changed out on a regular basis and customers can see in the app what is currently in the WineStations. Wines that have been rotated out of the WineStations will still be visible in the app, but will be shaded to avoid confusion. The wine list can be filtered by grape variety and region/country.
- Star Ratings – Customers are able to rate the wines at Uva on a 1 to 5 star basis. That information will be averaged and made visible to all customers so they can see what others think of a specific wine before they try it.
- Favorites – When a customer finds a wine that they love, they will be able to create their own personalized “favorites” list within the Uva app. They simply tap the heart next to that wine label and it is automatically saved, so they can refer to their personalized favorites list during their next visit to Uva.
- Reservations – Uva accepts reservations for parties of six or more Sunday through Thursday. Customers will be able to make a reservation directly through the app.
Uva Wine Bar, located at 46 Main St in Plymouth, Mass. offers 48 different wines from around the world through self-serve WineStations. Customers can get a 1.5 oz. taste, a 3 oz. half glass, or a full 6 oz. pour of any of the wines. The wine bar was founded in 2019 by Katy Gaenicke and Michelle Manware, who share a passion for wine, and decided to open Uva after discovering this self-serve technology while on vacation.
